Yeah, I remember watching Live Aid '85 as well. I was glued to the TV the entire time. I agree, Madonna had a memorable performance.
I think it was right after Madonna's performance that we left the stadium. The solid non-stop music was the only thing that kept your mind off the sun. (They had a huge TV screen on stage to show the Wembley performances.) It had to be the hottest day of the summer, and everybody in the crowd was begging for the firehose guys on the field to spray water in their direction. We never got a drop. It was a great, memorable day though.
