My personal experiences on wood paint distillation [first paragraph]- absolutely real. Cologne drinkers - real. On these I would take the lie detector. As for the rest - Venedikt Erofeev, the author of the quoted book, was himself a drinker of epic proportions, and based his book in large part on his vast experience in the field.
