Well, Pavarotti or, say, Caruso he is not. And it shows.
Hell, Charro would draw a bigger crowd.
Good grief, doesn't Geldof's manager or booking agent have enough good sense to cancel the Milan concert before the performance when ticket sales (45) are in the tank? I can answer that: Obviously not!
Can't see through the alcoholic stupor, apparently.
Or Tim Robbins.
Or a homless bum.
Maybe his fans just don't like Fridays...
Heck I get that kind of crowd for Wedneday night karaoke. At least I tell myself that
He's gonna shooooo-oooo-ooot the whole day down.
Let me know when you're warbling. I'll come by for a good laugh. ;o)
Why are 45 people walking out on me! Don't they know I was the driving force behind 10 Live 8 concerts!
LOL. He's been resting on those meager laurels ever since.
Is there anybody OUT THERE?
He's going to play at Interlochen music school.
Geldof walked out of Milan's 12 000-capacity Arena Civica on Friday without playing, given the paltry attendance. His manager explained that a concert for less than 400 people would not be viable... The 54-year-old Irish rocker... sought to placate angry fans afterwards by promising to give a free concert in September. A scheduled performance in Rome on Saturday night, for which 300 tickets had been sold, was also cancelled, La Stampa said.I'm sure the free concert will be much more viable than playing for the handful of people who had so little to do that they showed up for Bob Geldof. What a crock.

Whoops, it was a few days ago. Nuts, I'd have liked to see that.

Ian Anderson Plays Orchestra Jethro Tull w/ the Traverse Symphony Orchestra
Founding member of the rock band Jethro Tull, Ian Anderson has long been considered the foremost exponent of rock-style flute. While continuing to lead his legendary band in sell-out performances throughout the world, Ian Anderson now brings his acoustic talents to the orchestral stage. He will perform a selection of Tull favorites, solo songs and instrumentals, all carefully rearranged for amplified flute, acoustic-rock trio and orchestra. Tull fans will recognize such classics as "Aqualung," "Locomotive Breath" and "Bourée," interspersed with varied pieces, past and present.

Last time I saw Tull was 1988 or so. It was awesome. I better see them again before Anderson kicks the bucket.
