It will be interesting to see what happens to Floyd after the surgery. Lemond and Armstrong both overcame horrible setbacks to return to the top of the sport -- If Floyd can somehow do the same thing it would be a sight to behold.

I wonder how an artificial joint will hold up to the rigours of cycling. All the peddling and pumping will be right on that joint. I guess if Bo jackosn could come back from Hip Replacement to play baseball, FLoyd might be able to come back to racing.

I don;t see any way he comes back next year, even if he is defending champion, but stranger things have happened. However, I would love to see him suddenly show up back at the top in 2-3 years.
