20 % is not a huge amount. Even if she does, you've got years of diligent inspection of labels ahead of you. Carrying an Epi-pen and children's liquid Benadryl is your best bet. The dye free gives fewer side effects, it doesn't leave you feeling as spacy. Being liquid, it gets into your system faster than any other form of Benadryl.

The only way to deal with a food allergy is complete avoidance for months to years. Sometimes the allergy goes away for good by doing that but other times it comes back eventually. There's no way of knowing with food allergies. They are the worst. (Spoken as someone who has to deal with them)
