35 In WestVA does not go through moutains. It is a good 2 lane road and it will not take long to get to 64 once you cross the Ohio river. It is no big deal.

35 in Ohio is 4 lanes nearly all limited access and has very little traffic. 35 in WV is 2 land but not a bad highway at all.

I travel it all the time going from Dayton to Charleston. It is much quicker than any other route you might take.

I have traveled 35 for 48 years. The road is flat and well maintained. It is still two lane in WV and if traveling near dusk watch out for deer.

Route 35 is a very good two lane road, but also very busy. Lots of truck traffic.
