Texas hasn't really been a 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense since Earl Campbell and Daddy D packed up the wishbone and headed for the sunset. Last year they averaged around 237 a game passing, with 25 TDs by passing. They were still run oriented, with around 275 on the ground, but remember a lot of those rushing yards were bootlegs by Young. Although he's fast, a lot of his yardage was because teams had to drop back in coverage. As Ohio State learned, Young could throw the deep ball.

Prior to Brown, John Mackovic installed a pro style offense at UT, and has frequently been referred to as "pass-happy".
