Hello, ET! Standings in the overall GC thus far are below. Short story is - the only 2 Americans w/ a meaningful chance are Landis & Leipheimer, both former DSC/Armstrong
domestiques, now riding for 2 different European teams. Best placed Discovery Channel rider is a Ukranian, Popovych. Many had hh hopes for DSC's George Hincapie, but he's now in 38th place, 24'28" back.
No rider, and no team, has established control over the peleton in this first post-Lance Tour. The favourites for the podium on Sunday are Floyd Landis, Denis Menchov, Cadel Evans, and maybe Andreas Kloden of Germany. 3 buttmunch mountain stages in a row, then the last Individual Time Trial, where Landis is considered the strongest of the bunch, are next. You got here just in time! ;>)

(Ever had Vuja de? That feeling that you've never ever been here before? :)
To: Ready4Freddy
yea, I'm not much into bike racing and since it has France in the title that makes me even more uninterested... :)

Every year, I think, "Can this stage possibly live up to the hype?" and yet, it never fails to disappoint.
