I'm a biker, and IMO this is justification for opening your door.

And cell phones? There was a story in the local paper about a lady who was chatting on a cell phone, walked around a gate and into the path of a train. Some folks should not chat and drive.

Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw...I wonder if you'd drive any better with that cell phone shoved up your ###!

There was a lady here 3 or 4 years ago that was killed when she pulled out in front of train. Yep, she was chatting on her cell phone.

This is legal in California.....or it was when I was living there before moving in late '98.
