Hearings first, then deep studying of all the traps for American taxpayers in the Senate Bill, then conference if we feel the Senate people are ready to dump their obnoxious Bill for the House version. If the Senate won't listen to reason, there will be no bill.Afraid that's not what negotiating means. It means having your no discussion items, and doing some horse trading. In the end, both sides win something. Some here don't really want the Republicans to win, they want the Democrats to loose.

Republicans will win by listening to their constituents that voted to put them in power, and killing the Senate Bill.
As for the RATS, heaven knows what they stand for, apart from they hate Bush, and voted to stop The House censure of the The Slimes leaking national security secrets.
The RATS are set to lose again. Any momentum they had a few months back is gone.

There's basically little in the in the Senate Bill worth salvaging.
Even their "wall" has strings attached, and it was added as an afterthought.
The Senate should simply do the right thing and let their version of the Immigration Bill die.
