We have a totally dysfunctional immigration policy. We don't admit the number of people we need to keep our economy healthy. As long as we don't do that, we're going to have illegal activity.

I agree that the problems at the Southern border are mostly because of illegal Hispanics. But National policy should not be set because of the problems in just a few states.

We need a National policy. And a fence isn't it.

Enforcement of the law and a fence with enough border patrol agents is it. What is your solution? I have given several.
We need to admit people LEGALLY that have skills we need and who wish to become citizens or stay for a set amount of time. If they wish to stay past their visa expiration, apply for citizenship or an extension, but do it LEGALLY.
Frankly, I don't understand the longer term members who seem to think that giving amnesty to the illegals will solve this problem in any way, shape or form and do anything except unleash a worse flood of criminals on this country.
