I am running the 64 bit version,...so there are somethings I am missing like Flash....

What you can do is install Opera 9. The flash capability is built in. It came with SuSE 9.2 Professional (you have to upgrade from Opera 7.x).

The problem with Flash is not restricted to Linux. There is NO 64 bit verion of Flash, and it doesn't appear that one will exist soon. This is going to leave Windows XP_64 and Vista people high and dry as well.

As for the question in the article...NO! SuSE is not yet ready to compete against Windows on the Desktop. A big step would be documentation designed for people who don't know anything about a computer! One of the biggest frustrations in dealing with Linux HOWTO's is the fact that they ASSUME that i know things that i DON'T know.
