In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of the "Word for the Day".
frap [pronounced as spelled, verb, from Old French fraper to to strike or beat. Frapped, frapping, fraps. ]
a. STRIKE, BEAT
b. to draw tight: tighten with bonds (as a ship by passing cables around it: bid, draw together, or secure with ropes
A note:
frappé [pronounced fra-PAY] meaning iced or frozen, an iced drink or thick milk shake, or the ballet movement in which the free foot beats against the ankle of the supporting foot, appears to be of the same derivation
Example sentence:
Another time.
Rules: Everyone should leave a post using the Word for the Day in one or more sentences.
The sentence(s) should, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

No pushing at the door please!
Did you say "asset"? LOL!
Oh, I would never frap you, Arghie. I was joshing. Guess I should have put that in!
...and Lupe de mer. I make better cassoulet than any I've had in France.
I knew that, Miss Slippericious!
I heard that this morning. May he rest in peace.
Way to go! And thanks, now I'm all hungry. At least I know where I can get some good mussels. :^)
You can get some good mussels off the bottoms of boats in Newport Beach. Yechhhhhhhh.
Wow! I hope this doesn't mean you're next, Miss Gabrielle.
Me, too. Now I'm all hungry too.
LOL!!!
That victim was male.......but it was kind of freaky anyway.
No, the Doc and I went to a place on the waterfront when he was here and had some great mussels.
All I've got here at the office is (are?) Cheerios. Ug.
I rarely go to Phoenix except for a baseball game.
I like muscles on the top of the boat, but not mussels from the bottom of the boat. They just never appealed to me.
Well, that certainly indicates some progress. However,
ROTFRMAO! might have been more on point.
You get me every time, Truthie! ROR (raughing out roud)!
just lovely........
Now that the tomatoes are nearly ready for harvest crime and murder rates will climb here.........the migrants are notorious for getting drunk and into knife fights on Friday nights.........but as a rule they general confine their stabbings amongst themselves. But I truly dislike being on the road at night on weekends....they're bad drivers to begin with, and worse with a snootful.
I know personally what you're saying. My BIL was murdered by four illegal aliens with a baseball bat in Southern AZ. The reason? He had blue eyes and was alone.
I am sure you are safe, no one could find you out there in the boonies.
At least we don't have rockets being fired at us.....watching the news is unnerving. The mideast is ready to explode into WW3 or something.
