A couple who already have 13 children are to spend thousands on IVF treatment to conceive another child.
Mark and Shirley Wilson shrugged off criticism of the move.
Shirley,44, of Lincoln said: "It has always been my ambition to have lot of children. There's nothing else I ever wanted. I just love them."
She and electrician Mark, 45, had their last child, Ellis, in October 2004 and began trying for another within months.
Shirley miscarried twice so now they are seeking treatment from a private IVF clinic.
She said: “The miscarriages were devastating, but I am determined to have another child.”
The couple will pay £230 for an initial consultation and up to £550 a month if they can have fertilisation treatment.
If Shirley is not ovulating they would have to pay thousands more for IVF treatment using another woman’s eggs. Shirley has had all her children with the help of the fertility drug Clomid.
