How does a driver making a turn into the path of the motorcycle become Ben's fault? Did Ben intentionally hit the car?Maybe he was going too fast and couldn't stop.

The driver of the car probably didn't even see him. Many people are blind to the presence of bikes. They don't expect to see them.
