[Soaring Feather]

Riding the moon with you this night
reaching for the stars, especially the one
which holds our name in Scorpio or was it Mars?

We rode the moon while it climbed high
and slide down the other side
to catch the moving, morning stars
in the wide open sky.

Aurora waved her long iridescent hair
and bade us to grab hold
she lifted up her lovely head and
spun us into gold.

She let us look upon the face of Jupiter far away
swung us round Europa in a dizzying affair
her robe flowed free for us to hold
as we tore around at night

She smiled a smile for both of us
it reflected off the moon
and Io said hello to us
and spouted out a tune.

Oh how I love riding the moon with you
it’s our time to be sure, when all that glitters
is our gold, it is our golden hair.

Mornings We Left Behind

This world cocoons us oh so well,
That it is difficult to tell,
What is the substance, what the soul.
So quickly do we lose control.

When we have risen, and we’ve flown,
To other lands to make our own,
Parts of us we thought were not,
Will serve to show what we forgot.

The world we left remains inside,
In rhythms of a surging tide.
Our bio-clocks must then unwind,
Through mornings we have left behind.
