Yes, I'm winding up all the loose ends. The final tax certificate is taking longer than expected. And I had to go back to the original town I opened my bank account in because they left a signature verification section blank on these little bank books they use here in Taiwan.
That was actually pretty cool, the midpoint between here and there is also the midpoint between here and the capital city, so on a whim, after I was done with the banking business, I jumped the bus to the capital and made all my usual rounds. Lots of fun.
I'm looking forward to living there next spring, but for now I'm blocking that out and just thinking of Thailand. In the capital I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean II. It was OK, the special effects were cool. But there was no story at all, just a series of funny action/stunt scenes that the characters go through, then it suddenly ends. The special effects were worth the ticket price, but I don't recommend spending the time to watch that movie, just had no real purpose to it.
