"Bob this is absolutely fabulous, it sings so well."
Thank you! It may interest you to know that it was triggered by your post 592.
We rode the moon while it climbed high
and slide down the other side
to catch the moving, morning stars
in the wide open sky.
I thought about those "moving, morning stars" and what made a morning star, and what made a morning and presto! I had a poem.
Don't let everybody know how easy it is.

Isn't it exciting when a poet is inspired by another's writings?
I am honored thanks.
This happens for me a lot, a line in someone's poem will grab me and I am off to the races.
It's great to know we can (as poets) challenage, or inspire, and support each other in our craft.

Good morning, Tomkow!
My goodness, Tweety is hopping this morning.
To: Lady Jag
It's cloudy out
it looks like rain
temps are down
and I've not gone insane
oppressive heat and humidity
have gone for now.
Maybe it's a matter of time
'til the temperatures climb
but for now, I'll try to recline. ;)
How does your weather fare this day??
To: All
Thought of the Day
it was Henry David Thoreau who said, "Some
circumstantial evidence is very strong, as
when you find a trout in milk."
Today is Thursday, Aug. 3, the 215th day of 2006 with
150 to follow. The moon is waxing. The morning stars are
Mars, Uranus, Saturn and Neptune. The evening stars are
Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Pluto.

Holy cow it's been so long since we've talked! I have some good news about my poetry! i am in the finals in a poetry contest I entered last month! I already got that poem published in a coffe table edition. I'm so excited, I might win the grand prize, which I believe is $20,000!

Okay, I am caught up to you now. :)
To: Reaper FReeper
Thanks! So what did I miss? Anything important?
Well, I competed in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago. I did not win. The poem I read to the judges and audience is on this thread. Probably July 24 or 25th.

Oh my gosh! Really?! I got invited to go to a poetry seminar in Las Vegas on July 20-24. I couldn't go because I didn't have the money. Oh well, was it fun?!

Yes, it was fun and very tiring, I did meet some neat people.
There were lots of young people at the convention, they did very well in the competition.

End
Have you seen it?
Have you heard it?
This will be the worst mess
Worse than the beginning of the end
Worse than life or death
It's messed up but we think it's alright
We can't stand
We can't walk
All we do is sit and talk
It's over but we cant except it
We just defend it
Past present future
Life has become a detour
Until heaven or hell comes
Then we leave our homes
But it's just a dream, so it seems
