Thanks, I appreciate you and John filling out my questionnaire. I see why you like honest feedback, it's easy to see your own values in everything you look at. It's good to see what others might like.
Perhaps for the book (which I think I'll definitely write, if it sells or not, who cares?!!), I'll distill and quantify everything I want in it in a very dry outline style, then I'll construct some multifaceted story around all the info such that it conveys everything (my experiences plus some historical stories and references I've found) in a number of narratives and plot events.
That should be a nice mix of analytical points and stories to provide interest and context. Should be fun.
Just got off the phone with the boss lady, I kind of pressed her for when they would accept the new guy. She was amazed that I would leave even as soon as next Sat. 22nd, if they decide to hire him on Thursday the 20th.
She was like "Why do you want to leave Taiwan so quickly?". Hah! What an opening, the things I could have said! Instead I just pointed out that once I was finished working here I really had nothing to do but stare at the walls, and that's boring.
Then I innocently said "Oh, my, I don't see any tax number on my passport." Then silence, and I turned the screws with a saccharine voice "All I see is a red stamp on my multiple entry visa". And she started tripping over her tongue and double talking, finally mumbled something about "wanting to give me the tax number" (which was ostensibly what they did on Friday!) and said we could talk about it on Monday! Hah, hah, sinister revenge!
I'll bet you a double latte and a Manhattan Transfer track that she won't bring it up at all on Monday!
Soon to say goodbye to this lot, maybe as soon as next Saturday. ZOOOooooooooooooooommmmmmm (my flight taking off!)

LOL! I forgot to mention the group with Manhattan Transfer is Asleep At The Wheel, an excellent Swing group!
I have some pretty good tunes. ;)

Oh Ms. Feather, work is crazy as ever, but I am grateful. Our first Fall show is in 4 weeks, and then it's non-stop most of the rest of the year.
My younger son is moving out of state in a couple of weeks, so I am getting to spend the weekend with him. We are going to so a little shopping today, and then dinner with my Mom.
I am so excited for him, but I'll miss him for sure!
Many *HUGS* to you dear one!

Garden Solace
In the garden
amid the flowers
of a summers eve
I sit and ponder
moments past
and present
Scents drift
and I capture them
stolen moments
sweet memories
and things
dreams are made of
Colors muted
into softness
giving tints
to the open mind
shading the heart
and easing the soul
Time in the garden
precious for its rare
special for it joy
sweet moments to share
and make a treasure
a gift of life
