Even if you found a source guaranteeing they were supplied with domestic oil, you are contributing to global demand and the global price of oil. To the Saudis it doesn't matter much where your oil is sourced from -- just that you're buying it.

Not only is it a global market; it is also a local market.

It is expensive to truck fuels long distances, so stations tend to get fuels from the closest refinery of pipeline distribution center.

I worked a project that installed a new truck loading facility at a Citgo refinery. There were over 90 additive tanks belonging to Chevron, Exxon, Shell, generic for the independants, etc. The name on the station seldom tells you where the fuel came from.
