They aren't going to lay down but Boston is just better. We will see how the Yankees do against the Sox this weekend should give a good idea of how good they are. If the Sox pitching returns to last year's level then I don't expect anyone to be able to beat them.

One thing I will say, Boston's pitching is better than last year. They relied a lot on their lineup, especially the middle of the order, for offense, and that's why they were good last year. This year, it's their pitching. Josh Beckett and Curt Schilling are lights out. Papelbon has been automatic, and may lead the league in saves this year. Boston will definitely need this against New York. I may be wrong, but the last I heard New York was leading the league in offensive production. They obviously have the best lineup in baseball, they just don't have a great rotation, again. Last year Torre and Cashman somehow threw together a successful rotation in the last third of the season that carried us into the playoffs; maybe they can do it again this year.
