I'd say the writer is an English teacher, and yes, the humanities is full of women, it's language. One might ask, "Why aren't men secretaries?", because women are good at language, English, French, whatever, or at least they're good a speaking it. To change the subject....
I work in ESL (English Second Language) in France. Office staff is 14 women, the boss is a man, hardest working teachers with most hours are men, least complainers are men, most missed lessons are women, most replaced teachers are women. Complaining students are 90% women complaining about other women staff or teachers. Office vibs are usually terrible, cold as ice. Lying is epidemic, they lie about everything to everyone for nothing. The poor boss, he has to put up with it every day.
I've replaced 3 female teachers on important contracts so far this year!! 3! You can't even fire these creeps due to French labor laws protecting workers, especially female ones. And yes, creeps. They talk up up storm, stab you in the back, and then, don't do the job.
Also, have you noticed how badly Americans speak English. I wonder why?
Absolutely. If we had no men, we would have no problems.
The real problem is the consistent denigration of everything male or masculine for the last 30 or 40 years.
Unless there is a very powerful subculture to counteract it, such as is provided by the military and some religious groups, it wears men down.
How can men teach boys to be proud of manly attitudes and activities they have themselves been conditioned to believe are evil?
