WWI started with the assasination of one man.
Wonder what Lebanon will look like in the morning...
I knew the Israelis were madder'n fire, but I didn't realize it had gotten THAT bad.
Yikes.
Syria (who funds, houses, and directs the actions of Hamas) and Iran (who funds Hamas) are most certainly next...
Wow. You think the Israelis will start going after Syria and Iran?
It's tough to say. I've never been able to picture anyone having the gumption to do it.
Hey, this is off the subject, but you know about the on-going LadyX prayer thread, right?
Yeah, she died or something.
That's the one.
Well, her 16 yr old granddaughter (who is in mourning) just signed up recently and posted some song lyrics: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1664799/posts?page=54.
Anyway, not knowing how forums work and where to and where not to post things, she was getting beat up by other mean freepers who basically had nothing better to do than correct her for her vile mistake (you know how some freepers can be).
Suffice it to say, I felt horrible for her so I posted a nice welcome message for her.
Some freepers can be real A$$es, let me tell ya. This really made my blood boil.
As I'm reading through all the posts, it looks like the do-badders (as opposed to the do-gooders) saw the error of their ways and apologized.
Still though, this mob mentality towards all newbies as got to stop. It's one thing if they sign up just to troll around and get banned, and it's another to post something innocent in the wrong place. It happens over and over and over and freepers have nothing better to do than gang up and beat these poor innocent newbies down.
Well, it probably derives from the high volume of trolls we get.
There's also the "In Before the ZOT" factor. If you're in before the troll is deleted or the thread is pulled, there's a much better chance that the troll will read what you say. (And that will annoy the troll greatly). So there's a "rush," almost...and people are jumping too quick and ganging up on the newbies because of that.
Hmmm, good point. I didn't think about that. That explains a lot, actually.
Anyway, bedtime for Barbo. I'm getting super-duper sleepy.
Catch you later! Have "fun" at work tomorrow. (I know...yippee.)
I agree that they're WAY too hard on newbies here, though.
I know when I was a noob, I REALLY went through the wringer.
I should probably get going. It's getting late, and I have that AWFUL shift tomorrow. You know...the one that I hate.
Where could she be?
Hey there.
Which thread are you hanging out in?
I just told a joke on the make rebelyell laugh one.
Ok, see you there.
