I just watched the Press Conference. Things dont look good. They cut away 80% of the hoof was because it has seperated from the coffin bone. He needs to grow hard tissue underneath the hoof and grow back the hoof. He said that if he gets this in his bad foot they will not go on. But as of right now, even though his prognosis is poor, he looks very good, he is eating well and is comfortable and happy, they are going to keep going on with him.
I must say......... I never understood why horses had to be put down with injuries like this. I had never really known.
This is just awful.
God.............. I pray for this sweet fellow. I'm lloking for a miracle.
It is so hard to hear that he looks good and is still nickering and in good spirits with the extreme difficulty that this new medical situation presents...makes the possible life-ending decisions faced by the vets and owners so much tougher...
I'm hoping and praying for a Barbaro miracle.
