Sounds to me like the kid has a problem. And there do seem to be kids who are simply born with such problems: from the earliest age, they simply believe that they are and should be the other gender, and there's nothing anybody can do to convince them otherwise.
All of you with zero compassion ought to be glad you don't have a kid with a similar problem.
There's legit reasoning for questioning. Most LCSW's and Psychologist etc are fine dedicated professionals. But there are exceptions and those exceptions have an agenda some of which are of the predatory or activist mode. To some of us who have raised our kids and have grandkids we are skeptical. BTW I speak as one who knew kids of about every physical and mental disorder you could name. I don't doubt the existence of such disorder especially later in their childhood. I question this very early age of onset on highly impressionable time in his life.
There’s no doubt about that. Odds are the biggest problem is the mother with the counseling degree. There was another story posted on this a few weeks ago. When spoken to by a reporter, the child goes into a long dissertation about wanting to hammer his penis and wishing he had a vagina. He’s all up to date on anatomically correct language no five year old ever heard of.
The most likely disorder in this family is some bazaar version of Munchausen by a lunatic mother wishing she had another daughter.
