It may have been USDAA because the classes sound familiar. They are a booger to work, it takes so many people. Our golden club here is toying with the idea of gettting into that, and I'm like, OH PLEASE regular specialties are plenty enough work! Have you done rally? It really looks like fun, I've stewarded that a couple of times (another pain to steward!) but it looks like it would be a nice step before novice obedience.

Our club offers premiums to folks who work classes. If you work six classes, you get a free T-shirt. If you work three classes, they feed you lunch. We also assign each ring an "enforcer" (usually somebody who isn't running a dog, preferably somebody large and persuasive) whose job is to drum up workers.

We manage to get the necessary staffing! (I have lots of free T-shirts in every conceivable color and design!)

I usually work gate, because I have a LOUD voice and a tough skin . . .

But you're right . . . gatekeeper, scorer, timer, scorer's assistant, score runner, leash runner, and at least three jump crew, plus the steward and steward's two assistants at the steward's table. Keeps us on the hop!

Hope your club takes it on . . . you'll have a great time! (Remember to point your SHOULDERS and FEET the way you're going!)

As a matter of fact, I'm off to agility class right this minute! Back in awhile. . ..
