Blue is the colour of the Italian Royals. Of course, Italy is a Republic, but when soccer started, it was a kingdom. Same with Germany - they were black and white, the colours of the House of Hohenzollern, the ruling House of Prussia. The soccer organisations were founded around 1900.

As for Australia: Green and gold are the national colours of Australia, as proclaimed by Sir Ninian Stephen, the Governor General of Australia on 19 April 1984. It is widely believed that the colours were chosen because they are the dominant colours of Australia's floral emblem, the Golden Wattle.
