I'm looking forward to seeing it. I didn't even try last night. It was sold out nearly everywhere in my area, even the late show. I went to see Superman, which I thought was decent. The line for Pirates was really long.

The statistic is meaningless because the dollars are not trended for inflation.

BUT it's still behind SW3 in opening $/theater.

The pirate pic opened in more theaters, accounting for the bigger gross.

Johnny Depp is not afraid to try any roll. He is one of the FEW 'stars' I can stomach, despite their politics. Jack Nicholson is the other.

Looking forward to seeing Pirates II when it comes out on DVD. Only been to the movie theater 4 times since 1982. ET and the 3 Lord of the Rings movies.

I HATE TO HEAR THAT! I boycott movies starring the extreme, lefty, liberal Johnny Depp just like I boycott Jane Fonda, Alec Baldwin, Susan Sarandon and Babs "My nose is so big it has it's own zip code" Streisand.

IMHO, the movie doesn't even sound interesting considering I never even watched the first one.

Wow! I am really surprised because the reviews were brutal. Never underestimate the stupidity of the American public.

OH lighten up!This is just a fun movie that is not dirty or have anything about Bush in it. I am looking forward to see it . I want to see a movie that is fun for a change and if it is a jerry B movie it is going to be a fun time . I for one am tired of political movies in Hollyweird and sure am glad this one finally came out. The last one I saw was The Lion , the Which and the Wardrobe. Johnny Debb might be weird but I like Captain Jack and his friends. Sorry to disagree with freepers on this one but I can' t wait.

Just came back from seeing it!

A very enjoyable film, with a very surprising ending indeed!

It must have been good; I didn't get up to go to the bathroom even though I had to, and I forgot I had a headache for 2-1/2 hours.

Just saw it. It was long, action packed and plot-less. Basically if you like stunts, this is your film. The original was a rollicking true pirate movie. Too bad they couldn't come up with a better script for the sequel.

Here's a Pirates of the Caribbean spoof that's pretty funny!
