Finally, the first movie of the year that is strictly to entertain and not make a political statement.... one that allows people to do what we pay money to do -- escape from reality for a couple of hours. This one I will spend money to go see, I read that Depp has already said he'd gladly do a 4, 5, 6 -- he loves the character he gets to play.

What really makes me happy is it blowing Superman out of the water with it's "global" message.

Now now, i liked superman alot, even though i was angry about taking out the american way thing. There wasn't really a 'global message', i think that was just the writers being stupid. If you get past that whole idiocy on their part its actually a pretty good movie.

They should have taken a cue from spiderman, it was very pro american and did fantastic. Sam Raimi made no bones about spiderman being an american and from new york.
