"I just love that woman"

Who is she? Is she a Hollywood star or a somebody?

I've seen her picture posted frequently here on FR.

And right you are. Here are some stats on Italy-Germany:

GER-------ITA
2 Shots on Goal 10
13 Shots 15
21 Fouls 19
4 Corner Kicks 12
1 Free Kicks 1
2 Offsides 11
0 Own Goals 0
2 Yellow Cards 1
0 Red Cards 0
43% Ball Possession 57%

Shots on goal and corner kicks are very telling.

I can only commend you for supporting Italy, just as you support our Commander-In-Chief.

Loyalty, and similar respect for superior firepower, have a lot to do with my support.

Gilardino!
Del Piero!
Totti!
Toni!
Zambrotta!
Materazzi!
De Rossi!
Grosso!
Cannavaro!
Iaquinta!
Inzaghi!

Can't you just hear Vivaldi's Quattro Stagione playing in the background as they attack relentlessly like AC-130 Spectres?

>>Who is she?

Helen Thomas. She used to be a fixture in the White House press corps (always in the front row), but Bush has banished her to the back row.

Is that Totti conducting?

Is that the same Helen Thomas I used to see at Nixon's press conferences in the front row seats?

My God, along with her youth she has also lost her beauty. < sarcasm off >

Helen Thomas was there for John F. Kennedy.

The old vicious ugyly hate ridden hag.

Ah, Fred Trueman, a proper Yorkshireman. They do amuse us Southern softies.

We need a miracle to help us retain the Ashes! Gonna be a good one - I do like the banter you get from the Aussies.

Right, I’m gonna say it now. Italy were superb in their semi final; France were average. Therefore France will win.

You may get back to me on Sunday should my logic prove spectacularly off-target.

She’s not quite up there with Mrs Trezeguet or Mrs Henry, is she?

No I like your picks because they help me quite a bit.
With the surplus now 500 peroni, it gives me confidence to go once again.

Forza Italia.

I’d be lying if I said that picking who I back would make you money ;o)

Peroni is a great lager - is that what you were referring to?

I recognize that. Have you ever heard of doing the opposite?
Peroni, hey I can't give up the code. I never drink the stuff. ;)

His job is not yet complete. The old crab needs to meet the kettle and be quietly escorted from the room for good.

She's holding on until her true love, Al Gore, can regain the throne in 2008 and give Helen the first question at every press conference again. ;)

A sad day indeed for English cricket.

I saw Trueman play many times and he was always impressive.

Rest in pease, Fiery Fred.

Is injury even a big worry in basketball?

All those lateral and twisting movements are hard on the knees and ankles. The wood floor is not real forgiving either. I've seen some horrific collisions too.
