Your talking to someone who has a scar on her leg that was caused by a Cocker Spaniel when she was younger. Does that mean I should consider Cocker Spaniels to be a killer breed?

Your dog wandered into their territory apparently with your permission. Why can't you see where the blame really belongs. There is no such thing as a 'killer breed'. Any dog or animal can be trained as a killer. Just because a Pit Bull has a jaw thats strong and like a vice does not mean their breed are killers.

Yes. And I have a scar on my leg caused by a human.

I don't agree with your premise that there are no "killer breeds". That is precisely what pitbulls were bred for. Cockers are sporting dogs, they're bred for flushing out small game -- not tearing other animals to pieces.

If a child had wandered into that driveway and were attacked, would you say it was the child's fault?

There are some things people shouldn't have to live with, and the threat of harm from a vicious animal is one of them.

Bull, bull, and bull. Dogs that jump a fence to attack other dogs should be euthanized. If that had been my dog, I would have shot them both, as I carry a pistol when I walk my dogs. The "blame" does not belong with a person whose dog is merely walking by.

And, if you don't think pits are a dangerous breed, just check around and see how many insurance companies will refuse homeowners insurance to those who have them.

Did you know that the most dog bites are from the Cocker Spaniel breed?
