CDC report for your review.... My read of it differs immensely with your dishonest claim that Labs and Pit have the same killing tendencies. It lists only a single Lab caused fatality over a 20 year period, despite the popularity of the breed. As I pointed out Pit bulls have already killed five americans in the past six months. These were no mistaken identities as the dogs were captured, observed and had their brains removed and examined.
This is my last post with you as GV's thread is deteriorating into Pit lobby propaganda. You folks are your dogs worst enemies. Instead of spreading disinformation, you should be burning the over breeders of these unstable dogs at the stake.
Now thats a nice rational post. Congratulations!
That is because your "read" doesn't show all breeds. Labs, Goldens, and even Chespeake Bay Retrievers have all killed people, but are given their own individual spot, whereas "pit bull type", taken directly from the CDC's site, comprises at least seven different breeds, but may be more. Don't think for a second there has never been a death by an English Bull Terrier, or a Cane Corso, or an American Bulldog. Where are those numbers?? Lumped up into "pit bull type". THAT is my point. Not that labs/retrievers are killing people left and right.
Secondly, you could examine brains all day and not find a single difference in a pit bull and a labrador. The only reason they would have to examine the head at all would be for rabies, not breed. The ONLY way to know for sure what breed ANY dog is would be to have registration papers from a reputable organization, such as the AKC or UKC.
And by the way, every day I am on a pit bull forum that not only promotes responsible ownership, but we are constantly educating idiots that come on there and want to get a fighting dog, or a guard dog, and we're ALWAYS stopping back yard breeders. We don't just sit around and complain. We are the ones out doing good for the breed. We are doing absolutely as much as we can, and that includes coming to places like this to educate people like you.
