Can I use a Palm Treo 700w with T-Mobile service?

Posted on 07/02/2006 8:53:49 PM PDT by rudy45

My wife likes the Palm Treo 700w. However, we have T-Mobile service and would like to keep it if we can. Can the 700w be used with T-Mobile? I didn't see, in the 700w user manual, any references to SIM cards, and I thought that a device needed a SIM card to be able to be used with T-Mobile. What facts are important in this regard? Thanks.

Unless Palm has recently released the 700 for T-Mobile, I don't think you can.
I know the 700 is currently supported by Sprint and Ver. I don't think it is supported by Cingular or T-Mobile.
