The quarterfinal round concludes with a pair of enticing match-ups. The day's first match pits England against Portugal (10:30 a.m. ET, ABC) in Gelsenkirchen, while a rematch of the 1998 final between Brazil and France (3:00 p.m. ET, ESPN) will wrap the Round of 8.

Ouch! Rooney got kicked in the face.
Hargreaves is doing a good job today, too. I really like that guy, not only because he plays in the Bundesliga.
The commentator on German TV just commented (ironically): England had more shots on goal in this game than they had in the whole tournament so far. Despite the sarcasm: He's right that it makes more fun to see England play today.
passing has deteriorated
If ABC is going to put a crawler on the bottom of the screen during play, they should be read the riot act by FIFA. That's ridiculous.
Watch Univision and listen to the Sun's commentary thesun.co.uk
And England looking fairly shakey at the back. Particularly Ashley Cole.
There are a grand total of 2 (TWO) people in this world who think that David Beckham should be captain of England and one of them is Beckham. The other is Sven Goran Eriksson.
Watch Gerrard. He is the de facto captain and it's shameful that he isn't wearing the armband.
No Univision here.
England is playing 10 v. 11 as Beckham is useless except on free kicks.
Dull match.
I never want to see Hargreaves in an England shirt again. He is worse than useless.
Bend it!
He IS bent. Horrid free kick.
Yes. It was suboptimal.
Why Aaron Lennon isn't playing is beyond me.
That's some mediocre futbol right there.
I hope FRA-BRA is more entertaining.
5 midfielders is absolutely foreign to England - there's no precedent from prior international matches & the Premiership where most of them play. If 5 midfielders is designed for short crisp passing and possession WHY ARE THEY HOOFING IT UP THE FIELD TO A LONE STRIKER?????
I want to jump out the window!
I agree, he's desplaying an admirable level of restraint.
If this comes down to penalty kicks, Beckam will puke and the Portugal players will slip.
I'm waiting for jj the English Myopian to come in and tell us how great England played in the first half.
Portugal is missing two key players and had to play with nine men for part of their last match. They can't be too fresh. Put Aaron Lennon on the right wing and let him run.
