I'm a diabetic with heart disease (double bypass in 1999 at 48 years old) and peripheral neuropathy. First it was in my feet--pain beyond belief--and now has spread to my hands. My little finger and ring finger are numb on both hands and my muscles in the hands are wasting. I can't even shoot my guns anymore--they're useless lumps of metal and plastic in a safe. I'm thinking of selling the lot on "G-Bay" if it is still open for business. As a doctor once said to me, "Diabetes is a terrible disease: it eats away at the edges of you."
