Tehuacana woman spent two hours 'in hell' after being beaten and raped

Both men are apparently in the United States illegally and will be held without bond on immigration charges, he said. Hernandez is from Honduras, and Martinez is from Mexico, he said.

This infuriates the he!! out of me!!! Being held on immigration charges means that they will be deported without trial back to their respective countries and will NOT be charged for the rape, assault and attempted murder of the young lady!!!!!

These pathetic pieces of crap need to serve VERY long sentences in a US prison BEFORE being deported.

It was crass but it also demonstrates the absurdity of taking this issue and turning it into "They are just doing the jobs that Americans don't want to do".

I regret the crass nature of the remark, but not the point it makes.

Until the message is pounded thoroughly into everyone's head that illegal immigrants are criminals, rapists, thieves, car-jackers, murderers, legitimate job thieves, oh..and yes..a small number of them are field workers... in other words, until our government takes a serious position against all of them, we have a problem that needs to be highlighted.

They are also being held on aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault charges. The immigration charges are in addition to the assault charges. Local radio says bail is set at $1,000,000 for each of them. Guess that was set after the newspaper went to print.

They stalked her like animals, they treated her like animals. And at least one of them was apprehended just before boarding a bus (to where?). Thank God they were apprehended. These 2 animals should be shown the same kindness they showed their prey victim. My heart and prayers go out to this brave young lady, what strength to crawl for help, and what a blessing that she knocked on the door of 2 firefighters. In addition to their assistance, their training and calm surely helped her.

2 suspects arrested in assault case; Vicious attacks made on young woman

Two suspects were brought into custody last night in connection with a vicious attack on a young woman late Tuesday night or during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The suspects lived in Mexia. Facing charges in connection with the attack are Javier Guzman Martinez, 17, and Noel Darwin Hernandez, said to be in his early twenties. Originally, Martinez lived in Mexico, while Hernandez lived in Honduras

The victim, a recent graduate of Mexia High School, was aducted from her vehicle just southeast of Tehuacana along Highway 171.

Law enforcement personnel have pieced together what happened after that. The victim was savagely beaten, sustained multiple stab wounds and was sexually assaulted.

She underwent lengthy and extensive surgery Wednesday at Scott and White Hospital. It was feared the attack might cause her to lose sight in one eye. However, the surgery reportedly was successful in saving her eyesight.

The young lady, following the attack, managed to walk and crawl to a trailer house, a distance of about one half of a mile from where she had been left. She knocked on the door on FM 1951 in Coolidge, and the family immediately telephoned 911.

The victim was taken to a Waco hospital, and from there was careflighted to Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

Two Department of Public Safety Crime Lab units were called in to process possible evidence at locations. The units were from Waco and Austin.

Martinez was arrested in Mexia - a joint effort of the Mexia Police Department and the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office. Hernandez was arrested in Waco by the U.S. Marshal’s Office.

This morning, Limestone Sheriff Dennis Wilson gave special thanks for work on the case to Steve Foster, a Texas Ranger from Waco; Deputy U.S. Marshals of Waco; Mexia PD and also to his staff at the Sheriff’s Office.


Further information was to be gleaned from a morning press conference, conducted by Sheriff Wilson, at the Limestone County Law Enfocement Center (county jail).

The savage attack on the victim spurred disbelief that things like this could happen here. Prayer vigils were scheduled, and many churches conducted these Wednesday evening throughout the community. Many people wrote letters and/or notes to the victim. Those were taken to Scott and White for her family to read today, as she continues to recuperate and undergo treatment.

I agree 100%. I was merely attempting to point out that all races and peoples have their criminals.

BTW, I live in Arizona and have been very outspoken in my wish for a wall and return of illegals to Mexico policy.

As a former (retired) defense attorney, I can take my share of heat but get weary of jerks that attack me without learning facts.
