To any lurkers who might believe this crap, GE has had a huge bug up his butt about IBM for years. Check his posting history and you'll clearly see that this antipathy goes way back since before the sale of the IBM PC division to the chinese military.
Personally, my working theory of why GE hates IBM so much is because he thinks IBM hired Linus Torvalds to kill his dog.
Note to GE: You'll notice I'm not responding to you, as there is really no point in attempting to argue with the delusional.
My disdain for IBM began when they broke their partnership with SCO, the longime "Unix on Intel" vendor and turned their back on American Unix in favor of the foreign clone Linux. The license of Linux allows for the free transfer of technology around the world, including out of the United States, without return revenue. IBM did it because they now want to be a "services" company first, and damage pure software competitors Microsoft and Oracle, as well as Sun who still has the largest share Unix. It partially worked, mostly against Sun, but has cost the US billions in lost revenue as these foreign "knoppixes" you admitedly support gain market share at US product expense. Sun responded by having to open source their operating system, and give it away for free, resulting in the layoffs of thousands of US engineers. Did you care? Nah, got your knoppix for free, what else matters right.
