I was listening to an "Ask the Vet" radio program, and the vet said that a splash of tomato juice in with the dog's food was good for the dog and would help prevent the yellow spots on the lawn. LSA
Wow! Cisco shoulda had a V8!
Interesting :~D
Mmm...tomato juice...
Wonder if that really works? I wouldn't mind having some tomato juice around in any case...maybe I'll experiment. ;-)
I wonder if just letting them have tomatoes would do the same. I'm going to have a TON of cherry tomatoes here in short order, I'm afraid.
My bad and that vet must have needed business. I just googled up "dog health +tomato juice" and there were several cautionary articles about altering a dog's pH output and possibly causing bladder infections, stones, etc. A more enviromentally friendly approach was to water the area and then sprinkle about a tablespoon of sugar over the area to feed the soil microbes.
