Well...if he was bothering them instead of just trying to be nice, I guess that's different. The first post sounded like he wasn't doing much and you more or less went up and called him a pervert, without a lot of provocation. And I could just imagine how my brother (or any other decent teenage kid) would be hurt by that.
Sorry if I went overboard.
Ah that's ok!
I wasn't too happy with the guy in the whole first place because I'd gone from a sitting position (near the ac) watching him go up to my kids, then a standing position, then I had to actually go up to the side of the pool. The boys never said a word to him, just kept swimming off. I was irritated that the guy didn't take the hint!
I find it really amazing that parents have no problems dropping their kids off at this place! As far as I can see, there is no supervision, only a teenage lifeguard on duty. No one monitors their coming or going (unless they're signed up for this summer program, and even then it's very loosely monitored.)
Yesterday Matthew made friends with a little boy a year older than him. They didn't talk too much, but had a good time squirting each other with squirt guns! Joshua makes a new friend every time we go, because most of the kids are his age in the summer program). The kid Matthew made friends with just came in to swim alone.
So there's fun to be had at the place, but I'd never dream of just dropping them off!
