jest found out yesterday that a friend from here (Marine Capt MP at FLW, solid Christian, homeschool dad) has been pegged fer duty in Iraq... part of an 11 man team training Iraqi police forces... 4 are duty experts... the other 9 will be there tuh keep the 4 alive...
can we rally round these guys?...

They're MPS, so I'm immediately inclined to dislike them ;0), but they're on our side...
They report to CLJNC in Sep, then head to IFJ in Jan for a year...
They'll be training Iraqi police in some of the hottest areas...
what they'll need, I cannot predict... and they'll ask for nothing...
I can see Hobbit Hole folding knives, maybe some Pelican flashlights, possibly dump pouches.

Plenty of carabiners, we buy them by the hundreds. I'll need some leadtime for the stasi bashers. Have they seen yours?
I can also throw in some restraint cutters, which weren't the hit I expected them to be.
I always get fahklempt when I watch that.

Ruh-roh...Margaret got a puppy today - a German Shepherd / Border Collie mix.
She said she didn't expect to get much sleep tonight. I imagine the poor little thing'll be doing a lot of howling. The puppy, that is, not Margaret. ;-)
I'd kinda like to know what Cisco's life was before I got him, but I'm rather glad I missed the housebreaking and the worst of the chewing. He's only *kind of* a monster...
