is your hard drives ATA or SATA?

I don't know. The one I added was a Western Digital from Dell if I remember correctly.

Those are good prices, aren't they?

I have to pay to have everything put in, the extra hard drive because I added it later. In order to use the USB 2 ports, I had to have a 4-plug (well you plug into them) card put in. I'm ok for now. As far as I know, those are both good brand names.

Thanks for the headsup. I suppose I would have to find out what mine are.

The 40 gb (C:) says SG340016A (that's what was highlighted, there are other things including WDC below it). The 80 gb (E:) says the same thing.

When I really start to run out of room, I'll have to take a look at those. Thanks for the links.

to tell the difference look at the cable, ATA uses the "old school" fat thin wires to connect the hard drive to the motherboard... SATA uses a thin rectangular shaped cord to connect the drive to the Motherboard. :)

Fat thin cords at the top are ATA 100/133 cables, the thin red cables on the bottom are for SATA. :)
