Little Antonio, a goldfish made almost famous by living over 111 days in water from the Los Angeles River, was found dead in his tank in the latimes.com newsroom at 1:58 a.m. Monday. He was believed to be about five months old.
The cause of death was undetermined, according to a website editor who made the sad but perhaps inevitable discovery.

The water should have been aired with some sort of pump, filtered with some sort of charcoal, clarified from its algae by strainers.......in other words, the fish should have been in Dasani water.
funny!
Cecil lived another six months. He was one of those skinny mutt-type goldfish. After recalling the trouble with Beanie's funeral, I considered taxidermy and maybe just putting him up on the wall in the den. My then six year old convinced me not to worry and that if Beanie almost made it down the toilet then Cecil shouldn't be a problem at all. A few quick prayers and well wishes later and whooooooosh....
It was touch and go there for a second. The toilet thought about coughing him back up, but one last rush of water did the trick.
