Dunno if that is the case, but I bet they blame her suicide on homophobia and society's failure to accept her, rather than a mental instability that might coincidentally have led her to abandon her normal sexual urges in favor of homosexuality.
I do think that being gay is a mental disorder. My nephew is gay. It is like he never developed emotionally past about age 12.
