I would go for the newest release of Xandros myself, but I have experience with it.

You might try Vector Linux,...blazing speed for a browser....has Mplayer for Multi Media....

Do you have old gear or brand new?

I have a 2 Year old home made PC with a 2 GHz AMD CPU and 1 Ghz of Ram and an All-In-Wonder Video card with 256 MB of VRam
