As a former pageant contestant, I agree with y'all two. It's freakish and disgusting. (And I wasn't even involved in them until college.)
I've never liked the beauty contests for little girls. College age girls are much more able to make the decision for themselves and handle the pressure, so if they want to participate, that's their call.
But as for the little girls, it's just sad. And looks perverted.
