According to Fox News, Patsy Ramsey, mother of Jonbenet Ramsey has passed away from ovarian cancer.
Patsy had nothing to do with her daughters murder.
That particular maroon has a lot of company here, too. Folks who don't bother to really look into a case should maybe hold their fire, but most don't.
I followed this case fairly closely at the time. I have suspicions, but no conclusions. I hearken back to so many people jumping to conclusions in the Atlanta Olympics bombing case and last year's "Runaway Bride" and her fiance's assumed guilt.
Did you intend that response for romanesq?
Of course she did it. Remember the note: "Listen carefully! We are a group of individuals that represent a small foreign faction. We respect your bussiness but not the country that it serves. At this time we have your daughter in our posession. She is safe and unharmed and if you want her to see 1997, you must follow our instructions to the letter."
Who else could have written that note.
Who calls themselves a "faction?" and "We respect your business?"
Do you know her? How do you know she wouuld write something like that?
And while people are talking about the DNA you say was found under JonBenet's fingernails (could have been in a fight with a playmate), there also seems to be DNA found on her underwear (though sexual assault was not indicated).
Despite this, the behavior of the Ramseys after JonBenet's death is not consistent with someone who has lost a child through violent means.
In 1980, my 2-year-old niece died from liver cancer. I personally witnessed the reactions of my sister and then husband. Now, if you compared that with the reactions of John and Patsy Ramsey, upon learning their 6-year-old daughter was murdered, as I have, you would see a huge difference.
And that does not even bear the "ransom note" in mind.
Something happened in that house. Something that Patsy Ramsey knew and was willing to go to the grave with.
You are going to have an awfully hard time convincing me she had nothing to do with JonBenet's death.
That and its also child abuse.
I don't think she killed her daughter though
Geesh....the PAPER that the note was written on was from INSIDE the house...I guess that doesn't matter. Then they get an attorney and don't cooperate with the POLICE???? double geesh.
A&E produced a Investigative Reports program on the case where they hired an independent handwritting analysis who conclusively ruled Patsy Ramsey out as the writter of the note.
Once again, handwritting analysis is not an exact science and it up to interputation of the examiner.
Has Mark Fuhrman gotten involved? He has a good track record, too (He nailed that skank Skakel). I wonder how he feels about this case?
Funny you should mention that book. After reading it, I was more convinced than ever of their innocence.
It would seem that there is never a "perfect" investigation by any police force.
For my money, she appeared and acted like someone who knew much more than she let on.
For the sake of her soul, I hope that I was wrong.
I can't not remember the name of the investigator you are speaking of but I do remember this.
He did indeed quit and persued the case on his own. He also described how members of the Boulder Police and prosecutors office told the investigators not to look into other evidence since the "family did it and prove it".
It's not ridiculous or unusual in cases like this to look to the family or a family member as the guilty party. The risk in this thinking is to overlook evidence that points to another person where the actual killer gets to walk away.
I remember when the Jessica Lunsford cases first broke. Speculation was that the grandfather committed the crime. If the police had kept on that line of thinking, had not investigated other evidence found at the scene and completely persued the Grandfather, Couey wouldn't have been identified, arrested and currently awaiting trial for her brutal torture, rape and death.
The A & E Channel is owned by Disney (37.5%), Hearst Corp. (37.5%) and NBC (25%).
Everyone has an agenda.
It may not be an exact science but when a majority seems to be pointing in one direction you have to listen to it, am I right?
I agree with you 100% - I've always felt it was the son, sad as that may be....
