Just curious if you still miss Hendrie a month later.

There aren't too many laughs in regular talk radio, especially these days!

I miss the hell out of Hendrie. Also Glenn Beck, who's been moved to 10 p.m.

I never heard Beck. Is it like his tv show, with all the guests and frivolity?

Not really . . . Beck is truly entertaining, but he's also thought-provoking. He's made a remarkable personal journey, and he's not afraid to share it when appropriate.

Have you gotten over Hendrie leaving radio yet?

I miss Phil Hendrie on the radio. Thankfully, radio station KLAC 570 AM in Los Angeles is playing repeats every week night through the summer. And Phil sends regular email updates that are full of info.

You're lucky in lala land. I was hoping on hearing some repeats on the weekends at least, but no dice. I used to get them on KOA in Denver.

BTW, didn't you post on the Savage thread before, or am i mistaken?

Hendrie subbing for Rush? That's cool!

Wondering: how did you come to find this thread so late?

I saw those numbers for NY on Drudge's site. The numbers i posted are specifically for the total 6-9 hours in NY for 12+.

i.e. the Savage/Levin war. It's the biggest war in radio; at least between conservatives. They both claim victory, but it depends how you read the numbers.

Savage is NOT consistant, he has NO core values which Levine has!

Sometimes Levine is too childish with his Womens Underware took a lovely song and preveted it!

I like Levine on issues but when he does the old Bob Grant routine I am bored!

Anyone can be nasty to the left it is true you can't reason with them, but one does not have to stir the pot either!

I don't find this entertaining....

Hannity is like a recording over and over he preaches to the choir! enough already no more heart on your sleeve.

Its time to learn the art of employing words that are as mighty as the sword!

Rush seems to be getting too coarse as of late or acting out being rebellious for lost time in the wild oat sewing department in his youth!

Don't get me wrong I think Rush is a great asset and pray he fines worthy companionship we all need that!

Call me a prude I don't care isn't it time we "Elevate Our Thoughts!" if we want Divine help too subdue this Evil!

Take it easy restornu! I think you're pretty much right with what you're saying, but this is the cutthroat world of radio, and if you don't get people to listen to you, you're ratings go down and you're history.

They all have their good/bad points, but their job is to comment on the news, and you're not going to agree with tyhem all the time.

I like Savage the best for various reasons, even though i disagree with him sometimes. He just has a very entertaining show, and usually 'gets it right'.

I don't want to get into a big argument over Savage. I've only been around here for about 3 months and it seems to be quite a sporting activity at FR.

But to say he has NO core values is completely false. Who the heck doesn't have core values except some kind of idiot, or someone who wants to kill people by blowing himself up?

Listen to his show for a week and you'll hear some of those core values such as his opinions on: borders, language, culture, the supreme court,pro-family, pro-life/anti-abortion, the US military, God, the Bible, and religion , art (lit/painting/poetry), and so on....

I care. Phil Hendrie is gifted. I didn't get a chance to hear him often, but when I was in Alabama, I tuned in every night.

The man is a genius. I wonder how he is able to hold a flawless conversation between several of his own personas and callers. Having confessed his brilliance, I never listen to him for more than a few minutes. His style of humor takes advantage of the gullibility and self rightuous indignation of dimwits. Not funny to me. Can't say that I will miss him. His work is troubling and pointless. Or, perhaps my puritanical viewpoint is too shallow to appreciate him. Perhaps he is a social commentarian of such depth, wisdom and satire that his work is beyond me. Dunno. What do you think, Amos?

Cyril Crunderhopper here. Speaking as the Civil Defense Sergeant Major of Between, Georgia, I can assure you that WE HAVE EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL! I've broken in to all 12 houses in the town of Between, and taken everyone's food and beer to a location in my fridge where I can dole it out to people for low prices. It's my new plan to ration things out when emergencies like this pop up.

I found it informative.

Oh, wait, you mean how did I locate it? Well, I, Cyril Crunderhopper, the Civil Defense Sergeant Major of Between, Georgia, make it a point to go on to Free Republic and randomly reactivate threads. It's my public service that I do, which I feel helps prevent tornados.

Are you against rationing? You are against rationing! If you were the Civil Defense Sergeant Major of Between, Georgia, we'd be out of toilet paper in NO time! Thank the stars that Cyril Crunderhopper is on the job.

Where do you live? We need to ration your food and beer for you.
