You need to subscribe to Premiere, they are showing all the games.

Ghana: red shirt, red shorts, red socks
USA: white shirt, navy blue shorts, white socks
I'm glad USA won't be wearing those red shirts in #2.

Thanks for the ping. What happened to the Day 13 Thread, has it been pulled or something?
Anyway, I'm looking for that nice picture of the Iranian chick that had the Islamic sign cut out of her flag. Does anybody have a link handy?

...missed NL vs AR yesterday ...You didn't miss anything. Dull game. Neither team needed a win to advance so they played like it.

Please ... who cares?20% of the World's population are watching the World Cup. That's over a billion people.
You may be thinking of another game called "football". This is a version of rugby football that was created in 1875. It is played by men wearing heavy padding and has a reasonable following in the United States.

Her shirt reads "_______ of Persia" (I can't figure out the first word).

I don't know what it said either, but if that's an Iranian, I'm thinking two things: "I'm Mickey Mouse" or "She's been stoned to death for being in public dressed like an infidel, Western, Great Satan loving whore"...

Europe is apparently full of expats who left Iran when the Shah was deposed. I'm assuming she is the daughter of members of that group.
Much like the Cuban expats in Puerto Rico for the World Baseball Classic, they still cheer their team on even while at odds with the government back home.

That's most probably right. I watched one of the Iranian games at the Brandenburg Gate, and there were a lot of Iranian fans there, waving the Iranian flag. Many girls, too, and not one of them wore a headscarf. I've met a lot of Iranians (many of them insist on being called Persians, BTW) here, and they all hate the Mullahs with a vengeance.

Only two? I say we should score 10 goals in the first half and 20 in the second! And then *we* should wave the Israeli flag! LOL!

I prefer your suggestion. I don't care for mice and she's way too cute to be stoned to death. ;^)
