The U.S. national team goes into Thursday's Group E finale against Ghana (9:55 a.m. ET, ESPN) knowing that it must come up with a win to have any chance of moving to the Round of 16.
All four teams in Group E, including the USA, still have a chance to advance. The U.S. must beat a tough Ghana side to have any chance of moving to the knockout phase. Should Bruce Arena's team be able to secure three points against the Africans, whom they meet at 9:55 a.m. ET on ESPN, they will need Italy to beat the Czech Republic in a simultaneous match, which can be seen live on ESPN2. The U.S. is not mathematically eliminated with a Czech draw or win, but will need a big victory over Ghana to avoid being eliminated on goal difference.

oops. My second "double post" ever. I'm just excited. Sorry :)
Convey in for Eddie Lewis.
Bobby Convey is in!
What foul?
Well, hell. I gotta go collect #2 son at Art Camp. Get us a couple goals.
We need a goal now to get this back into a game.
Now the keeper is in injury mode.
Olsen seems to have really fouled out the Ghana player who is limping away from the pitch.
Ghana got a yellow card. YEAH!
Come on USA!
just outside the box!! dayummmm
If only that foul on Convey had been a few feet closer to the goal . . .
Way too high. We seem to have a real problem with that.
What a freakin' waste!
Donovan should have shot the ball! Get a rebound! Damn!
Uh.......
Italy scores again!
2-0 Italia!
Well, Italy has done their part. US is struggling.
If the US doesn't score within the next 3 minutes, they're doomed.
Italy is certainly doing their part to help the US get to the next round...
They need to score twice and that won't happen.
