The U.S. national team goes into Thursday's Group E finale against Ghana (9:55 a.m. ET, ESPN) knowing that it must come up with a win to have any chance of moving to the Round of 16.
All four teams in Group E, including the USA, still have a chance to advance. The U.S. must beat a tough Ghana side to have any chance of moving to the knockout phase. Should Bruce Arena's team be able to secure three points against the Africans, whom they meet at 9:55 a.m. ET on ESPN, they will need Italy to beat the Czech Republic in a simultaneous match, which can be seen live on ESPN2. The U.S. is not mathematically eliminated with a Czech draw or win, but will need a big victory over Ghana to avoid being eliminated on goal difference.

I didn't watch the Czech-Ghana game. Was it fairly refed or was it like ours?
YOU ARE HAMMERING IT TO DEATH, DAVE O'BRIEN!
I see your point. It is curious, however, that they utilize a "floating" marker for one infraction (offside) and a fixed field demarcation for the penalty rule.
I missed that game as well.
Wow! That would've been something!
USA is starting to put on some pressure.
Gaaahh!!! The post!
Turn it on!!!! USA!!
I can't believe it...Italy is gifting us a win over the Czechs...and here we are, not grasping the opportunity. I can't believe we lost to the Czechs as bad as we did...they look horrible..
DAMN! Nice run though.
DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDAMMMMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNN!
AHHH!!! The dam has to break soon.
But now we're REALLY putting on pressure. Sooner or later we have to score at this pace.
The tide is turning...come on USA!
The U.S. just has to keep up this pressure. The ball will find the net if we can keep doing this.
GOTTAGOTTAGOTTA
Offsides again? The timing isn't there, but we'll get it. COME ON!!
Good Luck USA but its not looking good right now.....need two quick ones.
We're dominating all their players now. Except for the ref...
